Description and Additional Information:

Meet Gromit, who at 10 years young has a new lease on life. “Grommie”, as he is affectionately called by his foster parents, is the epitome of man’s best friend. While he enjoys pal-ing around with his foster brothers there is nothing better than cuddling with the humans in the house! Gromit has a lifetime of missed cuddles and love to make up for and boy is he getting to work. Because of this, Gromit would do best in a home that is prepared to give him lots and lots of love, and be patient on the occasions when he gets a little too “clingy”. He loves to lounge around but also LOVES being outside and has recently discovered how wonderful stuffed animals and being fed treats by hand can be! He is not shy when he’s hungry or needs to go outside and makes himself known with a quick howl or bark. Gromit sustained a few untreated injuries...front leg and rib... in his past life but they don’t seem to hold him back or stop him from enjoying a good romp around the backyard. He has good name recall off-leash but does have a tendency to follow his nose and wander off, therefore would do best in a home with a fenced yard. He knows how to sit for his food and is house-broken. He gets along well with other dogs both male and female and seems to be good around small children. This sweet boy has many endearing qualities but two favorites are his always wagging tail and the frizzy hair on top of his head. If you are looking for an incredible companion, Gromit is your guy! If you are interested in adopting this dog or another OESR dog, you must complete the application process at www.oesr.org. We will not be able to answer your questions about Gromit until you are approved to adopt. All adoptive homes must have a fenced yard or other type of containment or boundaries for the dog. Vet and personal reference checks as well as a home visit will be conducted prior to final adoption approval for all OESR dogs. Adoption fees range from 250.00 to 395.00
