Who are we? Our English Setter Rescue (OESR) is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) non-profit specific breed rescue.   Our organization was originally founded in Ohio in 2009 and formerly known as Ohio English Setter Rescue. We have fosters, adopters, transporters, and volunteers throughout the continental United States.

Our Mission: Is to provide a healthy and happy environment for the dogs that come into our program, and to help educate the public in responsible dog ownership.

Volunteers are what makes our rescue work. Without them there is no rescue. We have adopters and supporters from coast to coast and happily share in the idea of personal connection, and communal pride, in helping setters in need.

2021 Calendar update

From everyone at O.E.S.R. we thank you for ordering a grand total of 200 calendars! Calendars were shipped, and you should be receiving yours soon, if you haven’t already. Don’t fret if you forgot to order please contact us, and we will be glad to get one to you!

Again, congratulations on our winners and we look forward to next year’s calendar contest! From all of us at O.E.S.R. we greatly appreciate all of our sponsors, volunteers, transporters, and fosters who give their time and resources towards helping all of the abandoned, neglected, and abused puppies and dogs throughout the country. We couldn’t do it without everyone’s support and contributions!
